Yesterday, Team Coco announced the winners of the Conan VD explosion contest. If you did not hear about it, it was a contest where couples had to videotape themselves eating dinner together. It could be funny, awkward, realistic, or whatever, but it had to be you and someone else eating dinner together, even if it was just a friend.

Dozens of people exploded into a fit of creativity, all of them hoping to win the contest. Some bought Valentine’s Day party supplies, some make their own party decorations, some even sent out fake party invitations, and the competition was intensely fierce. Unfortunately, the winner was not the one that the community was hoping to see.
D.J. Monopoli and Sabrina Abu-Obeid, apparently a popular Youtube celebrity, won the contest with their overproduced effects and expensive party decorations, leading to intense controversy on the Team Coco forums. Even today, the Team Coco forums are highly ablaze in discussion over who should have rightfully won.

Now, the video itself is not bad, but it is not astonishing either. It is somewhere caught between teeny-bopper and funny, yet I am not too sure if I want to admit where between those two it lays. Regardless, the video definitely feels like it was backed by some hard cash. You only have to take a look at the party supplies in the background to see that fact.
Since we are in the Valentine’s Day homestretch, you should be getting ready for the big event. If you do not have any idea as to what you are going to do, take a moment and view some of the Team Coco contestant videos. You might get an inspiration idea, like a cupcake fight or a pizza dinner for two. Whatever you do, try to make it feel special. Use some party decorations to give the room a specific feel, and get some tableware party supplies so you do not have to clean up afterward.
Now, get out there and start planning. Valentine’s Day will be here before you even realize it.
With Valentine’s Day coming right around the corner, we’re breaking away from the party supplies and party decorations. It’s time to start planning out those last-minute gifts. And no, gas station roses are not the easiest way into someone’s heart. The real gifts have to come from your heart. You need to invest time and emotion into them, so the receiving person understands just how much they mean to you. To help get your creative juices flowing, we have compiled a list of gift ideas for you.
Nothing lets someone know that you have appreciated your time with them quite like a photo album. Gather up all of the personal photos of replicated memories you have and paste them in a huge photo album. If you can, keep the pictures in a chronological time-line, so you can see the development of your relationship together. Other than the photos, add in anything that holds some meaning to you and the receiver. For example, tickets to a movie you saw together, or flight tickets for a trip your took together, would be perfect. The more stuff you have, the sweeter it feels.

Make Valentine's Day sweet for that special someone.
Honestly, everyone loves to be spoiled, and you don’t have to break the bank to do it. Instead of sending your special someone to someplace where he or she will be pampered by other people, do it yourself. Get up early, make them breakfast, give them a massage, cater to their needs, and make them feel special. You could even throw them a personal party. Design the party decorations and party supplies to be everything they need and want. Find out their favorite color and go to town. If you love party invitations, design one that invites them to their personal spa day with you.
Here’s a quick bit of information on roses: red roses represent love and passion, but yellow roses represent friendship and appreciation. If you want to let your friends know that you care about them, give them yellow roses. For lovers and significant others, go with the typical red ones. Or, to send the biggest amount of rose-love possible, combine the yellow and red.
The food you cook for your significant other, or friends, can send an extremely powerful message. If you take the time to create something deliciously astonishing, you will blow their taste buds straight into the next holiday. Give it some thought, or follow a recipe, and you will make this Valentine’s Day a truly special one.
