No matter how you plan a party, you need plastic cups. All of those individuals out there who hoot and holler over paper cups being better than plastic cups, they do not understand the logistical issues. Paper cups get soggy, often resulting in liquids spilled upon carpets, floors, or tabletops. Unless you want to clean up a mess at the end of the social gathering, you better stick with some sturdy plastic cups.
In addition, plastic cups can easily be reused, allowing for more money to remain within your wallet. Simply wash the cups out, give them a nice rinse, and then use them all over again at the next party. (Note: Plastic cups are not for dishwasher purposes.) The dependability of plastic cups over paper cups cannot be argued, unless you were serving your guests boiling hot water. Then you would have a whole different set of party problems.
